Sen. Bellino’s office is open, ready to serve

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Joseph Bellino has announced that his office is open and ready to meet the needs of constituents in the 16th Senate District.

“It is an honor to serve the people of Hillsdale, Lenawee and Monroe counties in the state Senate, and I thank you for entrusting me with this responsibility,” said Bellino, R-Monroe. “I look forward to working to find common ground on responsible and effective solutions to meet our challenges and improve the lives of all Michigan families.”

Bellino also announced that his Senate staff includes Chief of Staff Joe Martin, Constituent Relations Director Margie Roggelin, and District Liaison Tracey Oberleiter.

“My top priority is to provide residents with the best service possible, and my excellent staff will help tremendously to achieve that goal,” Bellino said.

Martin previously served as chief of staff for former Sen. Dale Zorn, Sen. Jim Runestad, and former Sen. Jack Brandenburg. He also worked as a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives and as a constituent relations aide for former Speaker Jase Bolger. Martin graduated cum laude from Alma College with degrees in political science and business administration and earned a juris doctorate cum laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Roggelin grew up in Monroe. She has a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Siena Heights University in Adrian and previously handled constituent relations for former Sen. Ken Horn and scheduling and special projects for former Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville.

Oberleiter served as district liaison for Zorn since 2019 following his retirement from Monroe Bank & Trust after nearly 50 years of service. He is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Oberleiter is currently state chairman of Michigan Ducks Unlimited, a past president of the Monroe Jaycees, and past treasurer and chairman of the United Way of Monroe County.
