LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Joseph Bellino has been recognized as one of the most conservative members of the Michigan Senate this year, according to the Capitol news outlet MIRS.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for standing firmly on the principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility,” said Bellino, R-Monroe. “I’ve worked hard to advocate for policies that keep government accountable, respect taxpayers and protect individual freedoms. These values are essential to building a stronger future for Michigan.”
MIRS reported Bellino had an 8% liberal voting record based on 50 key votes taken during the 2024 Michigan legislative session. Only Sen. Jonathan Lindsey, R-Coldwater, at 2%, and Sen. Jim Runestad, R-White Lake, at 6%, had more conservative ratings.
“My voting record reflects a commitment to the foundational values of personal liberty and limited government,” Bellino said. “I’ll continue to fight to preserve those freedoms and oppose policies that expand the role of government in people’s lives.”
